Consorzio Casalasco Del Pomodoro

A LAND, ITS RESOURCES.
OUR IDEAS.

The love for our tomato starts with full respect for the land that receives it and sees it grow. And for the people who work hard every day to help us develop a good, safe and genuine finished product.

For us at the Consorzio, respect means investing in programmes and actions aimed at protecting the environment and human resources.

That is why we strive every day to put ideas into action and follow a path of sustainability studded with initiatives open on more than one front and constantly evolving.

Consorzio Casalasco Del Pomodoro

AN AGRICULTURE
CAPABLE OF PROTECTING BIODIVERSITY

The Consorzio Casalasco del Pomodoro plants are located in an area particularly suited to agricultural production, the result of a consolidated tradition that has evolved into one of the most advanced agrifood chains in Europe.
Agriculture plays a role not only in the production of essential goods, but also in the protection of the land, the preservation of biodiversity and local varieties. The environmental impact of farms must therefore be kept under control so that land cultivation represents an opportunity for growth and enrichment of the area.

This is why, since 2001, all the companies producing tomatoes processed by the cooperative adhere to the Integrated Production Chain Disciplinary and, since 2009, operate in accordance with the Globalgap (Good Agricultural Practice) standard.

Consorzio Casalasco promotes the participation of its member companies in sustainable agriculture projects by offering technical support and technologies such as the use of 'precision farming' technologies.
